Catherine Thoms, Emily Bear, and Greta Nagle will be performing pieces from Beethoven, Debussy, and Chopin.

New Music School team up with International Chamber Artists (ICA) to have NMS students perform at ICA Concert on January 25, 2009 at 4PM.

The NMS Saxophone Quartet will perform at the ICA concert as featured guests.

The concert is at St. Gregory the Great Church, 5535 N. Paulina St., Chicago, IL 6064

NMS and P.A.U.S.E. (Positive Action Using Self Expression) collaborate at Jenner Elementary Academy of the Arts for an Intro to Piano Class.

NMS thanks the P.A.U.S.E. organization, through the George S. May Foundation for the Arts, for allowing our faculty (Ryan Berndt, Trumpet and Francisco Ybarra, Piano) to come in and work with the students for two hours today. Students explored the concept of composition, their first lesson on piano, and complex rhythmic structure.  Fused together, the elements were recorded via Garageband and left with the students. Students, without knowing, learned Alicia Key's "You Don't Know My Name" piece. Upon knowing the piece they learned, students ended up becoming the harmony, melody, and rhythm to bring Alicia Key's song to life.

We thank the students at Jenner Elementary and the P.A.U.S.E. organization for this opportunity.

New Music School meets with WNHS students on Friday, September 4, 2008 to begin registering kids for private lessons. Thank you to all those registering for the 2008-2009 season.

New Music School officially opens its doors to the Chicagoland Region, including faculty dedicated to serving the Northshore, Western Burbs, and City.

The New York Times calls the Parker String Quartet, winner of Concert Artists Guild’s 2005 Competition, “something extraordinary.” The Boston Globe hails its “fiercely committed performances,” and The Washington Post declares it “a quartet that deserves close attention.” Three months after its win at the CAG Competition, the Quartet captured First Prize at the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition, enhancing its international reputation.

have teamed up to bring the a New Music School Faculty dedicated to the Wheaton's and neighboring suburbs.  Students at WNHS will be able to work with the NMS faculty on site. We look forward to a long standing relationship with WNHS. We welcome all students.
